We started early today with a 4am wake up call. Our direct flight was out of Oakland so we started on the road by 5am but not after a 15 minute struggle with our garage door. We will just have to handle that when we get home.
The drive was uneventful but the walk from the parking lot into the airport was windy and chilly! Wowza! Quick tip, book ahead for parking and you’ll save a ton 👍 Another savings that we make sure to keep in mind is never to check luggage. We got these awesome 20” rolling carry-ons from Amazon and they’ve held up well on our trip to Europe and now Hawaii!
Breakfast at the airport was a billion dollars…not really but seriously, $13 for a sausage croissant??? I’m usually good at remembering my own instant oatmeal packets, but today I forgot 🤷♀️ So we smiled through it!
After a two hour wait, we boarded and had an uneventful five hour flight which included a pretty decent breakfast sandwich. We then landed in Kauai at 12:30.
Just in time for lunch at Costco! After stocking up on ALL of the needed supplies for the week, we embarked on the drive to the condo in Koloa. It’s called the Garden aisle because it’s very green and it gets lots and lots of rain. Hence this photo…
Some checked out the pool, some went to Longs and grabbed some throat lozenges…let’s hope that isn’t a trend. 😩 And we are all exhausted and ready for bed. Very pretty views from the balcony!
